Connect Your Domain to Your Crazy Domains Website

Connecting your domain to your website will make your domain the official URL of your site. This means that people will see your Crazy Domains website whenever they access your domain on their browsers.

Whether your domain is registered here or elsewhere, this guide will help you connect your domain to your Crazy Domains Linux or Windows website.

Step1: Get the Necessary Information

1. Get the IP address of your Crazy Domains website.

2. Depending on the hosting services connected to your domain, you might have several places to manage your DNS.

   To ensure you're making the changes in the correct DNS zone, you must know the current name servers of your domain name. This will help you determine where you can make your DNS update.

   Note: You can do a WHOis search to know your domain's name servers.

   Once you already have the information, proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Connect Your Domain to Your Website

Select the following steps that correspond to the current name servers of your domain:

• ns1.crazydomains.com and ns2.crazydomains.com
• ns1.dnspackage.com and ns2.dnspackage.com
• ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com (with Linux hosting)
• ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com (with Windows hosting)
• External name servers (not owned by Crazy Domains)

Connect Through Account Manager

Use the following steps if the current name servers of your domain are ns1.crazydomains.com and ns2.crazydomains.com or ns1.dnspackage.com and ns2.dnspackage.com:

1. Access the DNS settings of your domain in the Account Manager.
2. Add or replace the A Record of the main domain with the following value:

   Sub Domain	IP Address
   (leave this box empty)	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for your primary domain in your DNS settings.

3. Add or replace the A Record of the www host with the following value:

   Sub Domain	IP Address
   www	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for www host in your DNS settings.

4. Wait for the changes to fully work or resolve.

Connect Through cPanel Hosting Manager

Follow these steps if the current name servers of your domain are ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com; and your domain is connected to our Linux Web Hosting service:

1. Go to your cPanel DNS editor
2. Add or replace the A record of the main domain with the following value:

   Name	TTL	Type	Record
   (your domain)	14400	A	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for your primary domain in your DNS settings.

3. Add or replace the A record of the www host with the following value:

   Name	TTL	Type	Record
   www	14400	A	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for www host in your DNS settings.

4. Wait for the changes to fully work or resolve.

Connect Through Plesk Hosting Manager

Follow these steps if the current name servers of your domain are ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com; and your domain is connected to our Windows Web Hosting service:

1. Go to your Plesk DNS editor.
2. Add or replace the A record of the main domain with the following value:

   Record type	Domain name	TTL	IP address
   A	(Leave the box empty)	(Leave the box empty)	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for your primary domain in your DNS settings.

3. Add or replace the A record of the www host with the following value:

   Record type	Domain name	TTL	IP address
   A	www	(Leave the box empty)	(The IP address of your Crazy Domains website)

   IMPORTANT : Ensure you only have 1 DNS A record for www host in your DNS settings.

4. Wait for the changes to fully work or resolve.

Connect Through External DNS Provider

If your domain name is connected to external name servers (not ours), contact the provider and request them to update the DNS of your domain with the following DNS records:

If you have purchased your Domain from another Registrar like GoDaddy or HostGator, and want to connect it to our Web Hosting service, you can do so by updating your Name servers. In this article, you will learn how to:

If your domain is registered through Crazy Domains, we have already connected your Web Hosting service, automatically. But, you may still review your settings using this guide.

Updating your Name Servers

If your domain is registered with another provider, you will need to make changes to the Domain settings first. To do this, you have to log in to the other provider’s management console and set the name servers to the following:

• ns1.syrahost.com
• ns2.syrahost.com

The records above should be updated via your domain Registrar’s account. If you’re not comfortable making the change yourself, you can contact your domain Registrar and provide them this information to set up for your domain name.

My Name Servers Are Currently in Use

If you have services like email hosting that is connected to your name servers hence you cannot change them to our name servers, please contact your hosting provider and ask them to set the following records in your DNS settings:

1. Change the A Record:
   

   Point your domain name to the correct IP address. Contact Crazy Domains to get the IP address needed.

2. Change the CNAME Record:
   Make sure to point your domain name to the same exact domain name, while making sure that both of them point to the same A Record.
