Uploading to Subdomains

Another way to host multiple websites is by creating a Subdomain in your hosting account. Unlike Addon Domains that is a new and unique website, a Subdomain on the other hand is an extension to your Domain Name to create division for other parts of your website.

The same for Addon Domains, files are uploaded to your File Manager for your website page’s content. In this guide, we’ll help you better understand the Default Home Folder and how it works. Then, you’ll learn how to upload files to your Subdomains.

Default Home Folder and How It Works

The path to the specific folder within your account will differ depending on whether it is the main domain, a Subdomain, or an Addon Domain. This guide will help you understand how they work.

Domain Type URL Path File Structure
Main Domain http://example.com public_html
Subdomain http://store.example.com public_html/store
Addon Domain http://example2.com public_html/example2.com
