Set Up cPanel or Plesk Email on Gmail Web App

This guide will walk you through adding your Crazy Domains email (cPanel Email or Plesk Email) on your laptop or desktop using the Gmail web app.

IMPORTANT: Gmail suggests POP settings after it recognizes your email address. Please note that if you access your email through POP, it won't sync across multiple devices.

Before you proceed, make sure you have:

Setting Up Email on Gmail

  1. Go to www.gmail.com. Ensure that you are logged in to your existing Gmail account.
  2. Click the gear ⚙︎ icon on the top-right, then click See all settings.
  3. Select Accounts and Import tab.
  4. Go to Check email from other accounts, then click Add an email account.
  5. In the pop-up window, enter the email address you want to set up, then click Next.
  6. Ensure that Import emails from my other account (POP3) is selected, then click Next.
  7. Enter the Incoming server settings (see the guide below).

  8. SSL

    Non-SSL


    Username: Enter your complete email address
    Password: Enter your email password

    POP Server: Enter your hosting server name. See this guide to know where to find it.
    Port: 995

    Tick the following options:
    ☑ Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server box.
    ☑ Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mailbox.
    ☑ Label incoming messages box.

    Username: Enter your complete email address
    Password: Enter your email password

    POP Server: mail.yourdomain.tld (your actual domain)
    Port: 110

    Tick the following options:
    ☑ Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server box.
    ☑ Label incoming messages box.

  9. Click Add Account.
  10. Select Yes, I want to be able to send mail as, then click Next.
  11. Replace the Name if you want, tick Treat as an alias box, then click Next Step.
  12. Enter the Outgoing SMTP server settings (see the guide below).

    Non-SSL


    SMTP Server: Enter your hosting server name. See this guide to know where to find it.

    Username: Enter your complete email address
    Password: Enter your email password

    Port: 465, then choose Secured connection using SSL

    SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.tld (your actual domain)

    Username: Enter your complete email address
    Password: Enter your email password

    Port: 25, then choose Unsecured connection

  14. Click Add Account.
  15. Open your webmail and check the confirmation email from Gmail. Click the verification link to confirm your account.

I can’t seem to add my Crazy Domains email address

If you encounter an error when adding your email address, enable your Gmail account’s POP setup by following these steps:

  1. Go to www.gmail.com. Ensure that you are logged in to your existing Gmail account.
  2. Click the gear ⚙︎ icon, then click See all settings.
  3. Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. In the POP download section, select Enable POP for all mail.
  5. TIP: For When messages are accessed with POP, we suggest you select keep Gmail's copy in the inbox.

  6. Click Save Changes, and then try adding your email account again using the steps above.

NOTE

  • Allow some time for your messages to load completely, as they may not appear immediately after setting up your email account.
  • Send a test email to check if the setup is successful.
