How To Find Your Hosting Server Name

This guide will help you in locating your hosting (web or email) server name, an essential step when configuring your email account on email clients, especially when using an SSL connection.

To find your server, follow these steps based on your hosting plan:

cPanel (Linux Hosting)

  1. Access your cPanel.
  2. Look at the URL in the address bar to find your hosting server name. Copy the server name from the URL between "https://" and ":port number/keys". In the sample screenshot below, the server is displayed as cpanelserver.domain.com.

Plesk (Windows Hosting)

  1. Access your Plesk.
  2. Look at the URL in the address bar to find your hosting server name. Copy the server name from the URL, between "https://" and ":port number/keys". In the sample screenshot below, the server is displayed as windowsserver.domain.com.
