Once you have a bootable media, you can now recover disks using it. Read further for a detailed instruction on how to do this.

How to recover disks by using bootable media

To know how to recover disks using bootable media, follow the steps below:

1. Turn on or boot up your computer or machine using the bootable media.
2. Depending on the media type you’re using, click Manage this machine locally or Rescue Bootable Media twice.
If your network has a proxy server enabled, you have to click Tools and then Proxy server. Next, specify your proxy server host name or IP address, and port.
If there are no proxy server enabled, proceed to the next step.

3. The system will then boot up and display a Welcome screen. Click the Recover option.
4. Click Select data.
5. Next, click Browse.
6. Choose the relevant backup location.
• If you want to recover from cloud storage, select Cloud storage. Then, type in the necessary account information to which the backed up machine is assigned.
• If you want to recover from a local or network folder, click Local folders or Network folders and browse for the appropriate folder.
Then, click OK to confirm.
7. Choose the relevant backup where you want to recover the data. If asked, type the password for the backup.
8. In the Backup contents, choose the disks that you want to recover and click OK to confirm.
9. In the Where to recover element, the software will automatically map the selected disks to the target disks.
If the mapping was unsuccessful or the result is unsatisfactory, you can manually re-map the selected disks.

Note: Changing the disk layout may affect the booting capabilities of the operating system. Thus, it is recommended that you use the original disk layout of the machine.

If you want to specify additional settings to the recovery you want to perform, click Recovery options.

10. Click OK to start the recovery process.
