Manage DNS Records in Exchange Manager

Like our other hosting services, Email Exchange also comes with a free DNS management tool. This is where you can manage the DNS settings of your domain name. Read on to learn more.

How to Manage the DNS Records in Exchange Manager

If you want to add, modify, or delete your DNS records in Exchange Manager, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Exchange Manager DNS Zone.
  2. Select the specific record that you want to manage and perform the necessary steps:

  3. Ensure the domain is connected to the following name servers:

    • ns1.premium.exchange
    • ns2.premium.exchange
  4. Wait for the DNS change to fully resolve on the internet.
  5. IMPORTANT : Changes to the Name Servers and DNS records will take two to four hours to fully work on the internet. However, some ISPs have their TTL duration that could override our maximum DNS resolution time. It may cause the changes to take up to 24-48 hours to fully work.





A Record

Add an A Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select A for A Record.
  3. Enter the applicable A Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify an A Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the A Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the A Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete an A Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the A Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.




AAAA Record

Add an AAAA Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select AAAA for AAAA Record.
  3. Enter the applicable AAAA Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify an AAAA Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the AAAA Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the AAAA Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete an AAAA Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the AAAA Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.




CNAME Record

Add a CNAME Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select CNAME for CNAME Record.
  3. Enter the applicable CNAME Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify a CNAME Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the CNAME Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the CNAME Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete a CNAME Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the CNAME Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.




SRV Record

Add an SRV Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select SRV for SRV Record.
  3. Enter the applicable SRV Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify an SRV Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the SRV Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the SRV Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete an SRV Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the SRV Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.




TXT Record

Add a TXT Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select TXT for TXT Record.
  3. Enter the applicable TXT Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify a TXT Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the TXT Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the TXT Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete a TXT Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the TXT Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.




MX Record

Add an MX Record

  1. In the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Add record button.
  2. On the Record Type drop-down list, select MX for MX Record.
  3. Enter the applicable MX Record value on the boxes provided, and then click Save.

Modify an MX Record

  1. In the left section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Edit icon of the MX Record that you want to modify.
  2. Update the MX Record value, and then click Save to save the changes.

Delete an MX Record

  1. In the right section of the Exchange Manager DNS Zone, click the Delete icon of the MX Record that you want to delete.
  2. When a pop-up message appears in the upper section, click OK.
