How To Transfer a Domain Name to Crazy Domains

Transferring a domain name to Crazy Domains is easy. Follow these steps carefully to ensure a smooth domain transfer.

Transferring a .UK domain

Step 1: Make sure your domain is transferable.

To ensure your domain is transferrable, please go through the domain transfer preparation checklist below:

• Turn off your domain privacy (for domains with domain privacy or private registration feature enabled only).
• Unlock the domain name.
• Make sure your domain is beyond the 60-day ICANN rule.
  ICANN RULE
  

  • Most domain names are governed by 60-day ICANN rule. This means you cannot transfer the domain name within 60 calendar days from the time the domain name is registered, renewed, and updated (the registrant details). AU, NZ, and UK are NOT governed by this rule.
  • Due to the 60-day ICANN rule, you should not make any changes on the domain name's registrant details before the transfer.
• Take note of your domain password or registry key.

Note: The actions needed above can be done from your current domain registrant's end.

Step 2: Initiate the domain transfer.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. On the left panel, click Buy Products > Domains > Transfer Domains.
3. Enter the domain that you want to transfer on the box provided.
4. Click TRANSFER.
5. On the next page, enter the domain password.



6. Click ADDED.
7. Once the order is added to your Shopping Cart, click CONTINUE.
8. Complete the payment.

IMPORTANT:
Domain transfer is FREE, but we require an advance domain renewal for atleast one year.

Step 3: Confirm the transfer.

1. After initiating the transfer, log in to the email address registered as the Registrant Email of the domain. Look for the email regarding the domain transfer you've initiated. You should click the Confirm button on that email to acknowledge and allow the transfer to proceed.
   
   

   HELP!

   Problem: I didn't receive the confirmation email.

   Solution: You might have a domain privacy enabled for your domain. If domain privacy or private registration feature is enabled for your domain, your registrant email will be masked with different email address. Thus, you can't receive the domain transfer confirmation email. Contact your previous domain registrar and have them disable the private registration or domain privacy for your domain. Once done, get back to us so we can resend the confirmation email.

2. Wait for the transfer process to complete.
