How to Set up Email Exchange with Outlook 2016 for Mac

Setting up an Email Exchange account on Outlook 2016 for Mac is different compared to previous versions of Outlook. If you need to set up a different version, please search for that version specifically in our documentation.

Make sure you have created your mailbox in the Exchange Manager before setting it up in Outlook 2016.

• Creating a new Mailbox with Exchange

If you have bought Email Exchange from Crazy Domains and your name servers are correctly set, then your Exchange Server is already set up for auto discover. You can simply use the Configure automatically option during setup.

If you are using your own name servers, you will need to manually create the proper SRV record on your DNS control panel.

Setting Up Email Exchange with Outlook 2016 for Mac

You can set up Email Exchange with Outlook 2016 by doing the following:

Step 1.	Open Outlook 2016.
	If you are using Outlook 2016 for the first time on your Mac, do the following before proceeding to Step 2:
	Click on the [>] symbol to go to the next screen, then click Get started. Click on Start Using Outlook. Click Add Account.
Step 2.	Do one of the following:
	If first time setting up an email address, click Exchange or Office 365. If an email address has already been set up before: Click Tools, then Accounts. Click the [+] plus symbol and select Exchange.
Step 3.	On the popup window, complete the following fields, then click Add Account.
	Below is a description of the fields:
	E-mail address Enter your full email address, such as myname@mydomain.com Method Select User Name and Password. User Name Enter your full email address, such as myname@mydomain.com Password Enter the password you use for this email address. Configure automatically If this option is ticked, the Server field will not appear. Simply click Add Account to proceed. If this option is not ticked, you can manually configure your Server. Enter the appropriate server: mail.premium.exchange for Outlook 2016 in AU email.premium.exchange for Outlook 2016 in UK
	Note: If an error message is returned saying your account is unable to be auto-configured, kindly make sure that you have the latest version of Outlook installed.
Step 4.	Once the configuration is successful, both the Accounts screen and the Outlook main window will pop up. Close the Accounts screen to begin using Outlook 2016.
