How to Update WordPress to the New Version

It is highly recommended to update WordPress to the current version. Whenever the update is available, you will be notified in the admin section.

You can update either automatically or manually. The latter depending on necessity and preference.

The latest version of WordPress lets you update in a single click. If you are using the older version, manual update is required. You can check WordPress codex for the latest and more detailed instructions on this.

Important: Updating WordPress affects all files and folders including the core files. Any modifications made to those files will be lost when updated.

You can update WordPress in a single click by following the steps below.

Step 1.	Back up your website files.
Step 2.	Enter YourWordPressDomainName/wp-admin on a browser. Important: Replace YourDomainName with your actual website.
Step 3.	On the Dashboard menu, select Updates.
Step 4.	Click Update Now to get the latest version of WordPress.
