Why Is My Account/Hosting Suspended

A Suspended Account is different from a Suspended Hosting — and, in most cases, do not affect each other.

In this article, you will learn why your Account or Hosting is Suspended and what to do in such cases.

Why Is My Account Suspended?

Your Crazy Domains Account is automatically tagged as Suspended if and when (but not limited when) it has reached a negative balance. This means that an error may have occurred during a previous Payment transaction. In such cases, the error happens when auto-renewal has been setup for the Domain or Product within the Account with the following actions taken:

  • Credit Card details may have been removed from the Account.
  • Credit Card details may be available but have been detected as Expired.
  • Credit Card details may have been detected as Incorrect.

The abovementioned cases can sometimes cause the renewal to have a “successful” transaction but without having actually paid for it, hence the negative balance. The following error message will appear in your Account:

Once the Account is Suspended, you can only login and add additional credit to process the negative balance. No other action can be taken.

What to Do When Account Is Suspended?

Since your Account has been Suspended, please contact our 24/7 support so we can conduct a full investigation on the Account and lift the suspension once the negative balance has been settled.

Why Is My Hosting Suspended?

Your Crazy Domains Hosting may be suspended due to (but not limited to) the following possible reasons:

  • A negative balance has been detected in your Account.
  • A violation of the Crazy Domains Terms and Conditions, including possible fraudulent activities and phishing.
  • The email connected to the Hosting is compromised.

Once any of the above reasons has been detected by our system, or if we have been notified by the registry or any other concerned party, you will immediately be notified via email. The email will include details of the issue and will suggest that you rectify the issue within 72 hours only. If no response has been received within the given period and the issue has not been addressed, then the Hosting is automatically Suspended.

If your Hosting has been Suspended, you will no longer be able to pull-up your website from any browser.

Your webpage may show a Hosting Suspended error or it may return as a blank page and the following error will be visible on your browser, indicating that your Hosting or cPanel Account is Suspended, as shown in the screenshot below:

What to Do When Hosting Is Suspended?

As such, you will need to do either of the following so we can lift your Hosting's suspension:

  • Respond to the email we’ve initially sent to you regarding the possible suspension of your Hosting.
  • If you can't find the email, contact our 24/7 support so we can help investigate and provide you with the details of the issue.

Once the issue has been rectified, the suspension will immediately be lifted from your Hosting.

If the issue is not rectified, the Hosting will remain Suspended and will be deleted from the server once the domain or the Hosting Product expires. In this case, your website is no longer recoverable.

Important Note: For Apple, PayPal, or Bank-related Phishing cases belonging to accounts existing below 30 days, the domain will immediately be deleted and the account will be terminated.
