This article will guide you on how to set up the MX record for your Exchange Email. The MX record will ensure your messages will be delivered to your Exchange email inbox correctly.

TIP
If you're looking for a different guide, the following articles might help you:

Step 1: Find your DNS settings

  1. Access your domain name in your Account Manager and check the current name servers connected to it.

    NOTE
If your domain name is registered elsewhere, you can do a WHOis search or contact your domain registrar to know what name servers are connected to your domain name.

  2. Refer to the table below to know where you can add your Exchange Email MX records.

    ns1.crazydomains.com
    ns2.crazydomains.com

Step 2: Add Your Exchange Email MX Record.

Select the location of your DNS settings below to know the exact instructions.

    Exchange Manager

By default, MX and SRV records are already configured in Exchange Manager's DNS settings. However, it is still worth checking to ensure the settings are correct.

    1. Sign in to your Exchange Manager.
    2. On the System section, click Domains.
    3. On the next page, click your domain name, and click Edit DNS zone records.
    4. You should have the following DNS records:

      For AU Exchange server

      NAME TYPE DATA
      (empty) MX [5], smtp.ds.network
      (empty) MX [10], smtp-uk.ds.network
      _autodiscover._tcp SRV [443], mail.premium.exchange

      For UK Exchange server

      NAME TYPE DATA
      (empty) MX [5], smtp.ds.network
      (empty) MX [10], smtp-uk.ds.network
      _autodiscover._tcp SRV [443], mail.premium.exchange

    Account Manager

Since Exchange Email requires SRV records, you must have a Premium DNS to complete these instructions. You can find the upgrade button at the bottom of your DNS settings in your Account Manager.

    TIP

If you don't like to upgrade your basic DNS in your Account Manager, you can use the Exchange Name Servers instead. Change your domain name servers to the following name servers:

    For AU Exchange server:
    • ns1.premium.exchange
    • ns2.premium.exchange
    For UK Exchange server:
    • ns3.premium.exchange
    • ns4.premium.exchange

    IMPORTANT

Changes to the Name Servers and DNS records within Crazy Domains will take two to four hours to fully work on the internet. However, some ISPs have their TTL duration that could override our maximum DNS resolution time. It may cause the changes to take up to 24-48 hours to fully work.
