List of Server Apache Handlers

Apache Handlers manages how Apache will handle certain file types in a website’s content. If Apache recognises a file, it has a corresponding action built-in for that particular file type, then will perform the corresponding call to action value. However, if you want Apache to perform a different action, at this point you will need to make a handler to tell Apache to perform that action.

Below is a list of server Apache Handlers reference to our Web Hosting services.

default-handler Default handler for static content.
send-as-is Send file with HTTP headers just the same.
cgi-script Consider files as CGI script.
imap-file Imagemap file.
server-info Retrieves configuration information of the server.
server-status Retrieves status report of the server.
type-map Type map file.

You can configure Apache Handlers in your Hosting Manager follow the steps in this linked guide to create Apache Handlers. Please let us know if you need any further assistance, or if you have any questions. We’d love to help!
