So take pride, raise your virtual pride flag, and register your .GAY domain name now!

.GAY Domain Name Registration

For .GAY domain names registrations, you have the option to obtain it for periods of at least one (1) year and a maximum of ten (10) years.

There are no specific requirements to register .GAY domain names.

The .GAY Rights Protections policy discourages owners of a .GAY domain to spread homophobic or anti-LGBTQ content. This includes:

  • Promoting violence against members of the LGBTQ+ community
  • Cyber-bullying, harassing or stalking
  • Hate speech
  • Attempting to organise or incite any of the above

Violation to this policy means the Registry may suspend, place on server hold, revoke, or cancel the registration at its sole discretion. While the Registry is unable to monitor content hosted on .GAY domains in real-time, it will accept and investigate reports or complaints in compliance with this policy.

.GAY Domain Name Renewal

You can renew your domain name manually or you can set up Auto Renewal which is an optional feature available for all domains. The renewal date depends on whether you manually renew your domain name or set it to auto-renew. We will attempt auto-renewal seven days prior the domain name's expiration date. If the renewal attempt fails, we re-attempt the renewal three days before the domain name's expiration date.

If all the renewal attempts fail and you do not manually renew your domain name by the expiration date, it needs to be restored. Please check our guide on How to Recover your Domain Name.

.GAY Domain Name Transfer

.GAY domain names are transferrable. There are two types of domain transfers:

  • Registrant-to-Registrant Transfers, and
  • Registrar-to-Registrar Transfers.

Simply follow our guidelines in transferring your domain name. But before that, you may read our linked guide on how you can prepare your domain for transfer. If all information needed to transfer is ready and available, you may then proceed to transferring a domain name or transferring a domain name ownership.

.GAY Domain Name Privacy

Private domain registration is available for .GAY domain names. This will allow you to protect your identity and private information, which we recommend for all businesses. This option is available during domain registration, domain transfer and within your Account Manager.
