Install an SSL Certificate on a Plesk server

You can install your SSL Certificate to a Plesk Server by doing the following:

1. Sign in to your Plesk Control Panel.
2. For Plesk 8, select Home and go to the bottom of the page. For Plesk 11, select Websites & Domains from the menu at the top.
3. Click on the Domain name you want to install your certificate for.
4. Find Services, then click on the Certificates icon located under it.
5. Select Install End Entity/Domain & CA Certificates.

You can add Certificates to site's certificate repository by doing the following:

1. Open yourDomainName.crt and yourDomainName.ca-bundle in your favorite text editor.
2. Copy and paste the contents of yourDomainName.crt to the Certificate section.
3. Copy and paste the contents of yourDomainName.ca-bundle to the CA Certificate section.
4. Once you're finished, click Send Text.

You can enable site for SSL by doing the following:

Step 1.	Click Server tab from the top menu.
Step 2.	Click IP Addresses from the Tools and Resources section.
Step 3.	Select your IP address.
Step 4.	From the SSL Certificate drop-down box select the certificate that was just installed above and click OK.
Step 5.	Check the status of your IP Address and Certificate.
	Note:If there is no Certificate drop-down box in this area, this means that you are on a shared hosting account and therefore you need to upgrade your hosting package and purchase a dedicated/static IP address from your hosting provider.

This tutorial shows you how to restart Apache Service. You can restart Apache Service by doing the following:

Step 1.	Click the Server tab from the menu at the top.
Step 2.	Click on Services Management in the Server Management section.
Step 3.	Stop and Start the Apache process. Icons are Start, Stop and Restart.
	Note: Do not simply restart the Apache Service. You must stop the service, then start it again to complete the installation.
