How to setup Entourage 2008 to check your Email

The following instructions describe how to create and set up your email account when using Microsoft Entourage 2008. The instructions included here can be used for setting up emails (mail servers) from other hosting providers.

Make sure you have created your email address in the Hosting Manager or Plesk for Windows Hosting, before setting it up in Entourage 2008.

If you have, then continue below.

Below is a description of the fields:
Name Enter your name, your nick name, or your company’s name depending on how you want to be displayed when you send email.
E-mail Address Enter your e-mail address (in the example we are creating an email account for the imaginary email address john@mydomain.com).
Account Type Should be IMAP (this allows you to check your email from multiple devices).
Receiving Mail Your incoming server is mail.mydomain.com, where mydomain.com is the name of your domain.
Sending Mail (SMTP) We recommend using the Outgoing Mail Server Name of your current Internet Server Provider (ISP). Alternatively you can use mail.mydomain.com (replace mydomain.com with your actual domain).
Account ID The email address you have been given.
Password The password is case sensitive. Decide if you want to check the Remember password field.
Step 6. When you're done, click OK.

Congratulations, you have added your email account to Entourage 2008. You should now be able to use it to manage your email account.
