How to Activate/Deactivate Plugins in WordPress

How to Activate Plugin

To add features and functions to your WordPress site, follow the steps below.

Step 1. From your browser, type in the URL box your domainname/wp-admin and hit Enter key from your keyboard.
Step 2. On the left-hand corner, click Plugins.

Step 4. You will be redirected to the plugin upload page. Find the plugin you need, then click Install Now.

Step 5. After the installation, click Activate to enable plugins.

How to Deactivate Plugin

You can deactivate a WordPress plugin to fix plugin issues or troubleshoot WordPress. To disable plugins, follow the steps below.

Step 1. Access your WordPress admin dashboard by following the first step above.
Step 2. Go to your Plugins settings.
Step 3. Search for the plugin you want to deactivate, and click Deactivate.

If you wish to disable multiple plugins, tick the box assigned for each plugin, then from the Bulk Action menu at the top of the page, select Deactivate.

Step 4. Click the Apply button.
